Advocates will have multiple opportunities to share best practices and help to build a more trauma-informed and resilient Cobb community.

A Look Back at Resiliency Week 2024

During Resiliency Week 2024, our community came together to celebrate resilience through a series of engaging activities, workshops, and discussions. From our energizing partner breakfast to thought-provoking keynote speeches and panel sessions, each event highlighted the importance of unity and collaboration in fostering resilience. We're excited to have connected with participants, speakers, sponsors, and supporters who share our dedication to building a stronger, more resilient community.

We kick off Resiliency Week with connection! Gathering together, we honored the meaningful relationships and valuable engagement fostered through our incredible partnerships. Thank you so much to each of our partners for the impactful difference you make in our communities!

RESILIENCY SUMMIT

During the summit, we delved into the HOPE framework, gaining valuable insights from Dr. Stan Sonu and our esteemed panelists. Together, we explored pathways to resilience, leaving us inspired and ready to continue our journey toward building a stronger community.

Dr. Sonu is a double-board certified pediatrician with a passion for teaching about ACEs and training future clinicians on effective and patient-centered ways to address trauma in primary care. Following his keynote address there was a Q&A will Dr. Sonu.

The Summit also included a panel discussion about the four building blocks of HOPE.

These panelists included:

NATURE WELLNESS WALK WITH CRM & BASICS + PAINT LOVE WORKSHOP

On Wednesday we found resilience in our environment with a Nature Wellness Walk coupled with a guided discussion using the Community Resiliency Model (CRM)®. Additionally, we hosted a Basics workshop with our friends at Paint Love, focusing on Maximizing Love and Managing Stress.

RESILIENCY DINNER

From heartfelt exchanges to shared experiences, the dinner was a beautiful display of unity and resilience. Attendees engaged in meaningful discussions, fostering connections and sparking ideas for building a stronger community together. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this empowering evening!

RESILIENCY RETREAT

Our retreat provided a sanctuary for self-discovery and renewal, featuring rejuvenating activities such as yoga, guided meditation, journaling workshops, and soothing sound baths It was a time of quiet reflection, shared connections, and inner strength.
