Mind Your Mind Speaks Podcast: Episode 48
In this episode, you will hear a conversation between Cobb Collaborative Executive Director, Irene Barton, and Susan Norris, Founder of Rescuing Hope, Inc.
- After learning about the issue of human trafficking in 2010, Susan began pursuing how this could happen in the U.S. She met with people involved in this atrocity at every level – victims, law enforcement, officers, and front-line organizations she met while writing her novel Rescuing Hope. Written as fiction so students would read it, the book provides a real-life glimpse into the world of sex trafficking.
- 12-14 is the average age of entry for girls into sex trafficking. 90% of victims are students.
- Rescuing Hope is grateful for the support of all of its donors, and particularly CareSource and Brassfield and Gorrie.
