May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health affects ALL people, regardless of age, culture, race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. Statistically, 1 in every 5 people experiences some sort of mental health challenge. Mental health is a vital component to every person’s overall well-being. It is important for each of us to educate ourselves about mental health and talk about it because starting conversations can improve outcomes and save lives.
