Prevent Child Abuse Cobb April 2024 Convening

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Please join us for our first PCA Cobb convening of 2024.
Join fellow Cobb County stakeholders as we work collaboratively to increase public awareness and implementation of programs and practices that strengthen families, thereby preventing child abuse and neglect. See Georgia’s Child Abuse and Prevention Plan (CANPP) that serves as the framework for our collective impact work.
Meeting will be held at Cobb County Division of Family & Children Services , 1090 Northchase Pkwy SE, Suite 200 (North Entrance), Marietta, GA 30067.

Meet Beth Florence
Beth Florence is the part-time program coordinator for the Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Plan (CANPP) at Georgia State University’s School of Public Health, serving all 159 counties in Georgia. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a master’s in social work from the University of Texas. Beth’s career began in community support for adults with disabilities and mentorship for children. With extensive experience in direct service roles, she has a profound commitment to fostering thriving communities that support the growth of children and families.
