We all know that there is no closet of volunteers waiting to connect and serve your organization, but we do have a captive audience with our current volunteers and need to maximize that potential. Together we will explore the assets your organization already has, identify low-hanging fruit for some quick wins, and workshop an approach to help create an even more supportive environment for staff, volunteers, and clients to thrive together!

I love both Deloitte’s Simply Irresistible Organization Model and reDirect’s Supportive Environments for Effectiveness (SEE) Framework, in this session we overlap these two research-based models and spin in an asset-based approach to identifying some small changes that can help build momentum with quick wins to build support from staff and volunteers to keep challenging the status quo. We will jump-start the session by reviewing the concepts and quickly put them into action with an individual organization self-assessment and small group share out of the assets already in place. Then we will go a little deeper and talk through the concepts and in breakout rooms identify small changes that will help their environment be supportive and irresistible to all of their human capital. We will wrap it up by leveraging a SEE approach to keep exploring, testing, and galvanizing small tweaks to create a talked-about organization that has word-of-mouth recruitment coming from staff, volunteers, and clients.
