Deadline – Mental Health First Aid for Older Adults

MHFA is an evidence-based, in person training program with the proven ability to teach individuals how to recognize and respond to the warning signs of mental and substance use disorders and link people with appropriate treatment. MHFA increases the understanding that mental illnesses are real, common, and treatable. Mental Health First Aid for Older Adults teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This training, which focuses on the unique experiences and needs of adults over the age of 65. gives skills needed to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.

Note: The registration deadline is Monday, June 28 at 9 am. This will allow give you 2 weeks to complete your pre-work that is required for the training. Space is limited so please only register if you are committed to the prework required and to attend the training.
