Kimberly Henghold is the Director of Community Relations within the Office of External Affairs at Kennesaw State University (KSU), where she plays a pivotal role in cultivating and enhancing the university’s relationships with its surrounding community. In her current position, Henghold leads KSU’s strategic efforts to build partnerships with nonprofit organizations, local governments, school systems, and other community stakeholders. As the primary liaison between Kennesaw State and various community entities, she provides invaluable leadership and direction for outreach activities, ensuring that KSU’s initiatives are effectively expanded and supported.
Before assuming her current role, Kimberly Henghold was responsible for overseeing volunteerism and service-learning programs within the Division of Student Affairs at Kennesaw State University. This role gave her extensive experience in coordinating programs that engaged students in meaningful service opportunities.
Henghold’s career in higher education is complemented by 15 years of experience working in local government. In various capacities, she focused on project management, event planning and execution, as well as community development and outreach. Her background in local government has equipped her with a unique skill set, allowing her to navigate the intersection between educational institutions and community organizations.
Kimberly Henghold holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and a master’s degree in public administration from Valdosta State University. Her academic and professional journey reflects a deep commitment to fostering collaboration and making a positive impact on both the university and the broader community.
