A Message From the Cobb Douglas Public Health District Health Director, Dr. Memark
As we continue our battle against COVID-19, we at Cobb & Douglas Public Health continue to assist and monitor the effects of reopening the economy. Testing continues at our multiple sites, as we look for ways to better reach our vulnerable residents. Contact tracing is ramping up as we train additional staff and leverage technology. We are working diligently to reduce outbreaks at our long term care facilities and homeless shelters. And we are advising local government, non-profits and commercial businesses in their reopening strategies.
I urge our citizens to remember the battle is not won. Continue to social distance to the best of your ability. Wash your hands frequently, wear face coverings when going out and stay home when you are sick. We don’t have many weapons in this fight. The sacrifices our residents have made in the past two months have made a difference. However, if we let our guard down too much, we will have a much harder fight ahead.
Thank you for all of your support.
Sincerely,
Janet Pak Memark M.D., M.P.H, F.A.C.P.
District Health Director
