The Cobb Collaborative Education Council (CCEC) was formed in the spring of 2007 as a result of a joint agreement between representatives from the Cobb County non-profit organizations, the Marietta City School District, and the Cobb County School District. CCEC provides information and processes to link non-profit agency services with local school improvement needs. Through stronger interagency collaboration, the CCEC believes better services can be provided in support of students and families. Schools and non-profit agencies are committed to working through the collaborative in designing and selecting the most appropriate services to assist our students.

THE GOAL ESTABLISHED FOR THIS COUNCIL IS:

ACHIEVEMENT FOR ALL STUDENTS

BY BUILDING EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN
SCHOOLS
AND COMMUNITY

 Plan for 2008-2009:

1)  School leaders will utilize support from the non-profit organizations in developing their school improvement plans.

2)  Non-profit organizations will be a member of the Cobb Community Collaborative, will represent their organization at Education Council meetings and will represent the Education Council at local school planning meetings.

3)  Schools and non-profit organizations will evaluate programs to ensure the best services are provided to students and families.
