MUST MINISTRIES - Volunteers Needed in Various Areas
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We have several openings in Daily Services M-F 10:00AM -12:00PM and 12:00PM to 2:00PM. The openings include food pantry, clothes closet, and client intake. If you are interested in filling one of these positions on a weekly basis or as an "On-Call" volunteer that we could use to fill in please contact Mary Shambaugh at mshambaugh@mustministries.org or 678-218-4487.
4th of July
MUST distributes information at the Peachtree Road Race on the 4th of July. Volunteers are needed to assist in this endeavor. If you are an early riser and want to get in on the fun and excitement of the Peachtree without having to exert yourself, call Joyce at (678) 218-4481 or email her at jtmiller@mustministries.org.
US10K
The US10K is one of MUST's biggest fundraisers and will be held this year on Monday September 4th 2006. We need volunteers before the race as well as the day of the race. We also need runners, walkers, phantom runners (people who sign up and contribute but can't actually come that day), and teams for the race. This is a very big fundraiser for MUST and the more people we recruit as volunteers or racers the more we benefit. BREAD PICK-UP
We need a volunteer to pick up bread from the Publix at 4401 Shallowford Rd. in Roswell on Wednesday mornings and bring it to MUST. If you are interested in doing this please contact Mary Shambaugh at mshambaugh@mustministries.org or 678-218-4487.

BACK TO SCHOOL: It is hard to believe that is almost time for our Back to School Campaign. Again this year, we are working with the Marietta First United Methodist Church where supplies will be distributed at "Back to School Festival" on Saturday, July 29 from 9 AM to 1 PM. There will be face painting and lots of fun activities in addition to the distribution of supplies. We need boys and girls socks and underwear. Girls sizes 4 - 16 and boys sizes 4 - 16. Boys prefer boxers and tube socks are great because they are sizeless. The lists for supplies needed are below. Supplies need to be delivered to our Donation Center clearly marked for Back to School. Volunteers are needed are needed to assist with the activities of that day, as well as, to work at the Donation Center sorting and packing the supplies. SUMMER LUNCH: Our summer lunch program is growing daily. We are now sending out over 1300 sack lunches per day. We are still in need of sack lunches through July and the beginning of August. We are also in need of people to help sort and pack lunches in the morning from 9am to 11am. Please contact Mary at mshambaugh@mustministries.org if you can help.
OPEN MEALS: We still have several open meals in July and August in our Loaves & Fishes kitchen. We need lunches on July 3, 10, and 14 and Breakfasts on July 26 and 29. We have several open days in August. If your group can help, please contact Mary at mshambaugh@mustministries.org.
The Center for Family Resources
Volunteers are needed to help distribute flyers about CFR's housing complex, Cambridge Woods. There is a list of Marietta companies and organizations where the flyers need to be distributed. Volunteers can distribute the flyers at their convenience. Please contact stuartbachman@thecfr.org if you would like additional information.
Children's Restoration Network
12th Annual Back 2 School Campaign for Homeless Children
CRN’s Goal is to collect 3,600 new bookbags and the school supplies needed to distribute to homeless children so they will be well-equipped to begin the new school year.
Volunteers needed for various activities:
July 5th-July 31:
- staff collection sites in malls 3-4 hour shifts (Gwinnett Place, Lenox Square, mall of georgia, northlake mall, and town center at cobb)
- conduct a school supply drive at church, neighborhood, etc…. (collection boxes and flyers will be provided)
- pick up collected donations/suppies
August 4th and 5th:
- sort/pack bookbags and school supplies
August 6th: back 2 school readiness day
- various activities for the day: wide range of needs from noon-6:30:
- greet children
- pass out bookbags
- cook and serve food
- set up/clean up
- ETC
