Cobb County 4-H - Cobb County 4-H Program

5th Grade AgriScience Curriculum: The AgriScience curriculum consists of lessons that relate to Earth and Life Sciences. Lessons feature a hands-on approach to the Georgia Performance Standards and connects the standards to research-based information from the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences and College of Family and Consumer Sciences at The University of Georgia, State Specialist with Georgia 4-H, Representatives from the Georgia Department of Education, Representatives from the State Botanical Garden of Georgia, Georgia Museum of Natural History and Georgia Partnership in Science and Math (PRISM). Middle After-School Programs: Career Preparation, Public Speaking, and Community Service are the main issues for these lessons. Also available are: Community Clubs, County Council, 5th Grade County Council, Science Curriculum, Public Speaking Competition (Cloverleaf County & District Project Achievement), County & State Judging Competitions, Junior County Council (6th–8th Grade), Career Preparation Issue, Public Speaking Competition (District Project Achievement), State Judging Competition, Community Service Projects, Georgia 4-H Events, Senior County Council (9th – 12th Grade), Financial Literacy Issue, Public Speaking Competition (District Project Achievement), State Judging Competition, Community Service Projects, Georgia 4-H Events, Horse & Pony Club, Monthly Club Meetings, State Judging Competition, Public Speaking Competition (District Project Achievement), Community Service Projects, Georgia 4-H Events, Home-school Club Meeting, Monthly Club Meetings, Public Speaking Competition (District Project Achievement), Community Service Projects, Georgia 4-H Events

Communities In Schools of Marietta/Cobb County, Inc. - Parents Assuring Student Success

This program recognizes the importance of parental involvement in education and focuses on the academic achievement of children. It helps to open the lines of communication between the school and the home. It draws the parents to the school and enhances a positive attitude toward learning while providing a productive learning environment in the home. GivingBack Foundation, Inc. - Leadership SOAR

Leadership S.O.A.R. was designed for elementary and middle school youth, between the ages of 8 and 14 who want to learn and apply leadership principles. S.O.A.R. stands for Service and Opportunity plus Action equals Results. The program Curriculum consists of the development of Character Traits and Ethical Leadership Skills, Parliamentary Procedures, SKILLS Development and Community Service Projects.
